“調休”用英文怎麼說

在工作中，當我們因為假期安排或加班需要調整工作日時，常會用到「調休」。那麼，用英文如何正確表達「調休」呢？

Holiday in lieu / in compensation

當因為週末或假期加班需要補休假時，我們可以使用 holiday in lieu 或 in compensation 來表達。

We get a few days of holiday in compensation for working at the weekend.（我們周末上班，假期可以補休幾天。）
Our company offers holidays in lieu for those who work during national holidays.（我們公司對在國定假日工作的人提供補休。）

Time off in lieu

如果是因平時工作比較辛苦，需要補休假時，可以使用 time off in lieu。這個表達強調因加班或額外工作而獲得的調休。

I worked overtime all weekend, so I can take two days off in lieu.（我整個週末都加班了，所以我可以調休兩天。）
She stayed late at work every night this week, so she’s taking a day off in lieu tomorrow.（她這週每天都加班到很晚，所以明天她可以調休一天。）

Make up for the holiday

有時候，調休的情況可能是因為先放假，之後再補班。這種情況可以用 make up for the holiday 來表達。

We have to work two days at the weekend to make up for the holiday.（我們需要週末上兩天班來補之前的假期。）
They scheduled an extra shift to make up for the holiday last month.（他們安排了一個額外的班次來補上個月的假期。）
