no/any + 名詞

我們在肯定句(沒有not)中使用 no + 名詞,在否定句(有not)和疑問句中使用 any + 名詞Nonot a 或 not any

I have no colleagues. 我沒有同事。
I don’t have any colleagues. 我沒有同事。
Do you have any colleagues? 你有同事嗎?

any  後不加名詞

我們也可以使用 any 作為代名詞,意即 any 後面不帶名詞。

‘Is there any milk left?’ ‘No, there isn’t any.’ “還有牛奶嗎?” 不,沒有了。 

肯定句中的 any


You can choose any date. 您可以選擇任何日期。(= one date; 無論哪個日期都可以)
Any student would know that today is the examination day. 任何學生都會知道今天是考試日。


我們使用 none 作為代名詞,意即後面不帶名詞。我們用 none 來取代可數或不可數名詞。

‘How many tickets did you get?’ ‘None.’ “你買了多少票?” 沒有。”
I thought there was some coffee, but there’s none.’ 我以為有咖啡,但沒有

我們也可以使用 none of the /my/Tom’s/etc. + 名詞或 none of + us/you/them

None of my students is/are from Australia. 我的學生沒有一個來自澳大利亞。
None of them is/are from Australia. 他們中沒有一個來自澳大利亞。

注意:當 None of … 是句子的主語時,我們可以使用第三人稱單數形式(更正式)或第三人稱複數形式(更非正式)的動詞。

nothing/anything, nobody/anybody, nowhere/anywhere

我們在肯定句中使用 nothing, nobody, nowhere ,在否定句和疑問句中使用 anything, anybody, anywhere 。 Nothing, nobody, nowhere = not anything, not anybody, not anywhere

There’s nothing that we can do. (=There isn’t anything that we can do.) 我們無能為力。
Have you seen Tom anywhere? 你在哪裡見過湯姆嗎?
We saw nobody. (=We didn’t see anybody) 我們沒看見任何人。
Nothing happened.  什麼都沒發生。

肯定句中的 anything, anybody, anywhere 

我們可以在肯定句中使用 anything/anybody/anywhere來表示“it don’t matter what/who/where”。用來說明任何一個選擇都可以。

We can do anything. (=it doesn’t matter what.) 我們可以做任何事。
Anybody in the room could teach us. (=it doesn’t matter who.) 房間裏的任何人都可以教我們。
We can go anywhere. (=it doesn’t matter where.) 我們可以去任何地方。
