something, anything, nothing 等用法

前綴	people	thing	place
some-	somebody/someone	something	somewhere
any-	anybody/anyone	anything	anywhere
no-	nobody/no-one	nothing	nowhere
every-	everybody/everyone	everything	everywhere

some- 用於肯定句中

在肯定句中，通常用 something, somebody/someone, somewhere。

Oh no! Something is wrong with the car! 不好了！ 車子有問題！
Somebody will bring your things to the class. 有人會把你的東西帶到課堂上。

any- 用於否定和疑問句中

在否定句和疑問句中通常用 anything, anybody/anyone, anywhere。

There isn’t anybody in the car. 車內沒有人。
Is there anybody here? 這裡有人嗎？

但是在表達請求或提供時，我們通常會用something, somebody/someone, somewhere。

即我們請求他人或是提供他人某件事。

Can somebody help me? 有人可以幫助我嗎？
Would you like something to drink? 你想喝點什麼嗎？

no- 搭配肯定動詞

在有肯定動詞的句子可以用 nobody/no one, nothing, nowhere。

I went to the neighbors’ house, and I could hear nobody. (不能說 I couldn’t hear nobody) 我去了鄰居家，但是沒有聽見任何人的聲音。
‘Where have you been?’ ‘Nowhere.’ “你去哪兒了？” “哪兒也沒有。”

every- 代表全部

在表達全部人，全部的事或是全部的地方時可以 用everybody/everyone, everything, everywhere。

Everybody in the building went outside. 大樓裡的每個人都出去了。
We went to the mall, and everything was cheap. 我們去了商場，所有東西都很便宜。
There were ants everywhere. 到處都是螞蟻。

單數動詞

所有這些every-, any-, no-, some- 單字中用單數動詞。

Everything is organized in this room. 一切都安排在這個房間裡。
Everyone was excited. 每個人都很興奮。
Has someone seen my keys?  有人看到我的鑰匙了嗎？

something, anyone, nowhere 等 +形容詞

在 something, anything 等後面可以加上形容詞

Let’s meet up somewhere nice. 讓我們在一個不錯的地方見面。
She doesn’t want anything cheap. 她不想要便宜的東西。

something, anyone, nowhere 等 + to 不定詞

在 something, anything 等之後可以用 to + 不定詞

They didn’t have anywhere to stay for the night. 他們沒有地方過夜。
She wants something to buy in the market. 她想在市場上買點東西。
