“调休”用英文怎么说

在工作中，当我们因为假期安排或加班需要调整工作日时，常会用到“调休”。那么，用英文如何正确表达“调休”呢？

Holiday in lieu / in compensation

当因为周末或假期加班需要补休假时，我们可以使用 holiday in lieu 或 in compensation 来表达。

We get a few days of holiday in compensation for working at the weekend.（我们周末上班，假期可以补休几天。）
Our company offers holidays in lieu for those who work during national holidays.（我们公司对在国定假日工作的人提供补休。）

Time off in lieu

如果是因平时工作比较辛苦，需要补休假时，可以使用 time off in lieu。这个表达强调因加班或额外工作而获得的调休。

I worked overtime all weekend, so I can take two days off in lieu.（我整个周末都加班了，所以我可以调休两天。）
She stayed late at work every night this week, so she’s taking a day off in lieu tomorrow.（她这周每天都加班到很晚，所以明天她可以调休一天。）

Make up for the holiday

有时候，调休的情况可能是因为先放假，之后再补班。这种情况可以用 make up for the holiday 来表达。

We have to work two days at the weekend to make up for the holiday.（我们需要周末上两天班来补之前的假期。）
They scheduled an extra shift to make up for the holiday last month.（他们安排了一个额外的班次来补上个月的假期。）
