使用情况

I + 动词 – my + 名词

我们使用主语代名词 + 动词，我们使用所有格形容词 + 名词。

These are Tom and Paul; they are from Hongkong. And that’s their car. 这是汤姆和保罗; 他们来自香港。那是他们的车。
I love my friend Kate. 我爱我的朋友凯特。

所有格形容词只有一个单数形式（字尾绝对不会加s）

英语的形容词没有复数形式。所有格形容词也都是单数的。

These are their bags. 这些是他们的包。（不能说 theirs bags）

it/its 指称事物，they/their 指称人和事物

我们将he-his和she-her用于人，我们将it-its 用于事物。但在复数形式中，我们将 they-their 用于人和事。

The ship has its own swimming pool. It is an amazing spot. 这艘船有自己的游泳池。这是一个令人惊叹的地方。
I like those flowers; they are colorful. However, their leaves are already dying. 我喜欢那些花; 它们是五颜六色的。然而，它们的叶子已经枯死了。

it’s 指称时间和天气

我们用 it’s （=it is） 来说明时间或天气。

It’s raining hard right now， but it’s not cold. 现在雨下得很大，但不冷。
‘What time is it ?’ ‘It’s seven o’clock.’ “现在几点了？” 现在是七点钟。 ”

使用 it’s 还是 its？

Its = 所有格形容词。 It’s = it is （主语 + be 动词）

Look at that flower. It’s beautiful. I like its color. 看看那朵花。它很漂亮。我喜欢它的颜色。
