避免混淆：on the way 和 in the way

on the way 和 in the way 是两个非常相似的片语，但它们的用法有所不同。

on the way

on the way 的意思是“在途中”。如果我们需要说出我们的目的地，后面可以跟 to 。同样地，我们也可以说 on my/his/her/Lucy’s way，意思相同。

Let’s stop for lunch on the way.  让我们在路上停下来吃午餐。
I must have dropped my wallet on my way to the shops. 我一定是在去商店的路上掉了钱包。
When we were on the way to France, we met Lucy! 当我们去法国的路上，遇到了露西！

on the way 也可以表示”靠近或朝向目标”。

Your parcel is on the way. 你的包裹正在路上。 （它正在邮寄到你手上的过程中。）
He is on the way to being a really good violin player. 他正在成为一名非常优秀的小提琴手。 （他将来会成为一名优秀的小提琴手。他现在接近这个目标。）

in the way

in the way 的意思是“占用某人需要的空间”。后面可以跟 of 来表示什么东西或人需要这个空间。同样地，我们也可以使用 in my/his/her/Julie’s way，意思相同。

This box is right in the way! Let’s put it in the bedroom. 这个盒子就在路上！让我们把它放在卧室里。
Don’t stand in front of me! You’re in my way. 别站在我面前！你挡住了我。
In London, you need to stand on the right on the escalator so that you’re not in the way of people who want to walk down. 在伦敦，你需要站在扶手电梯的右边，这样你就不会妨碍想要走下来的人们。
